I am looking for information on my Smith line. For some years I have been trying to find out more about my great grandmother and have not been able to find anything until now. At least I hope I have but need help to find out if this is the right family. I have Sallie (Salley) Ann Smith b. Apr 1868 in IN. She married Kelley (Craven Kelley)Smipson on 5 May 1885 in Owen Co., Kentucky. They had at lease five children, William (known as Rev. Elmer), Mary 'Ara', Craven Arthur, Charles Edward (my grandfather) and Johnnie.
She died on 25 Aug 1904 probably in Know Coalport, Knox Co., Kentucky but can not find out where she is buried.
Lately I have found this information which I think is my family but am not for sure and that is where I need your help. I have found out through FarmilySerach in the 1880 Indian Census there is a man named William Smith b. abt 1832 in KY. His wife is unknown. But it gives this information. William and his children lived in Cicero, Tipton Co., IN. in 1880. It gives this informaiton, William Smith b. abt 1832 in KY he was a farmer and his parents were from KY. he was widowed and was the age of 48 in this census. There was a woman who lived with him by the name of Sarah Smith. It does not give an age under relationship it says other. It gives his children as Margaret a dau age 25 born in IN and was keeping house, Georgia a dau age 22 born in IN keeping house; Thomas son age 20 born in IN a farmer; Charles a son age 17 born in IN and a farmer; Joseph a son 14 age ; Susan age 18 born in IN keeping house; Amanda age 8 born in IN; and Flourance a dau age 4 born in IN.
Does any one have anything on this family that might help me make sure this is the right family. Thank you very much.
