Robert Johnson Musgrave born 1799 in TN, married in Monroe KY

I am trying to find the parents of my great-great-grandfather Samuel W Musgrave born Feb, 18, 1824 in Tompkinsville, Monroe, KY. He moved to Hamilton County, IL. I found him in the census alone in 1869. In my research, I found a Robert Johnson Musgrave who was born March 5, 1799 in Carter, TN. Married in Monroe on October 28, 1824 to Margaret Vaughn. They moved to Hamilton County, IL in 1840. I am wondering if there is any connection. I'm hoping that Robert might be Samuel's uncle. Any help is appreciated.
