I thought this was interesting as well.
Elizabeth/Lizzie aged 10 yrs and Sarah aged 12. John stayed the same. This was the only option for any girl with that name that was that age and was born in KY with a father named John that was born in Ireland.
Back then people didn't view age the same as we do today. It wasn't uncommon for people to guess at their own age because they really had no idea what year they were born.
Some even did some "adjusting" of ages if they were a good number of years older than their spouse.
There was no other choice for any family in KY or PA that would fit for 1870 other than the census I sent you. I used all spelling variations including SOUNDEX with first name spelling variations as well as no first names.
