I have just learned about the Kyser Cemetery. Was it established in 1862 and recently restored? My uncle has recently given me a list of those that are buried in the Kyser Cemetery. Here are some of the names Lucinda Nored Kyser, born November 8, 1820 and died May 16, 1882; George Kyser, born July 13,1815 and died December 2, 1907; George Madison Kyser (who was a confederate soldier), born April 1, 1845 and died May 22, 1862; Catherine Kyser, born August 4, 1839 and died December 2, 1873. This is just a few on the list that was given to me. Do any of these sound familiar?
I am the granddaughter of David Thompkin and Delia Rhoad Kyser. I believe they were from the Evergreen area and later moved to Birmingham. They had four childern John David, Loretha, Wilda and Clayton. They all live in the Birmingham area now.
My Grandmother passed away in March of 2001, and I have become interested in finding out more about the Kyser family. If any of these names sound familiar, please e-mail me back with more information.
