Hi again Shirley, I just responded to your query on the Rootsweb Acadia Parish board. There is a community of Mire and there was a book written about the community by Rev. Donald J. Hebert (deceased). Briefly, the Community is located on La Hwy 95 just about 5 miles north of I-10. It has an interesting history. I will try to get more data for you when I go to Crowley today.
