Hi Ken. I checked Father Hebert's Southwest Louisiana Records (a compilation of Catholic church and courthouse records for the SW LA parishes). This is what I found: DARBONNE, Joseph Vuillet (Louis D. & Meline DALANCOUR) b. 3 April 1862 (Opel. Ch.: v. 6, p. 174) DARBONNE, Joseph m. 15 Dec. 1887 Isora JOHNSON (Iota Ch.: v. 1, p. 20) There was not another Joseph Darbonne, and there was not another Isora/Ezora Johnson. If I were you, I would contact whoever told you about Joseph Wallace Darbonne and find out where they saw that name. If it was on a census, ignore it -- censuses are notorious for having names slightly off, especially if the enumerator did not understand the person's accent. Good luck!
