I just received family lore these Jones's might be from Cowley, Acadia Parish La.

Clofer Jones, Census state he was born in La. about 1857 and his parents were born in La. I believe he camr to Tx. in the late 1870's.
1880's he married Medina Slaughter in Victoria Co. Tx.. They had three children William, Lillian and Lee.
Then he (2) married Emma unknown (possible Jones also). Children are Ocie, Obie, Tillis, Gladys, Medey, Clofer Jr., Omer, and Kate.
Ocie and Obie married Story sisters Josephine and Elizabeth "Lizzie" daughters of Charles and Bertha Story from Karnes Co. Tx. .
Places of residents (1880 census)Victoria, Victoria Co. Tx., Karnes City (1910 and 1920 Census) and Kennedy, Karnes Co. Tx., Corpus Christi, Nueces Co. Tx. and Sinton, San Patricio Co. Tx.
Any help on this would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you
Nita
