If you change your Guidry search to Guedry you may have better luck. Name appears to originally been with an ascented e and got changed to i for the earlier of Claude's decents who settled to the west. Jean Baptiste and one other brothers family were sent to france and did not get to Louisiana until about 30 years after expusion and continued to use the ascented e and finally dropped the ascent. Also try assumption parish plattenville area. I appear to also be of the Guedry line through Alain/Agnan/Gedeon/Jean Baptiste/Firmin/Jean Baptiste I can use some info on Agnan or can provide info on Alain down. Paul LeBlanc
