Mary,
My great-grandparents were Martha Adeline Dixon, 1855-1922 and Richardson Allen Rheams, who was the son of Ripley Rheams and Rhoda Jane Allen. I had corresponded with you before about Ripley Rheams. Marghana Rheams, Richardson Allen Rheams's sister, married Samuel Shadrack Dixon and on her death certificate it says her father, Ripley Rheams was from Ascension Parish. Does this provide any clues to Ripley?

Martha parents were Absolem Pleasant Dixon, 1818-1900 and Elizabeth Denham, 1821-1890. Absolem is buried in the Jones Creek (Woodlawn) Baptist Church Cemetery, Baton Rouge, LA and Elizabeth is buried in the Old Amite Baptist Church Cemetery (#1), Denham Springs, LA.

Martha's siblings were, Lucinda Ann Dixon, 1845, who married Achille Latil; Frances Jane Dixon, 1848, who married Dan Denham; Alexander Houston Dixon, 1852-1926; Absolem Pleasant Dixon (Jr), 1858; Mary Alice Dixon, 1860.
