Redbone list

after my resignation from the Starks Historical Society, I have been bombarded with requests for participation in different projects. One of the most interesting ones that came to me was to help get historical highway markers at the different entrance points into what was once known as the neutral strip. In doing this, we would claim this portion of LA as "No Man's Land aka Redbone Territory". Before beginning this project, the parties that came to me and I discussed and have started a 'list' for gaining info about the origin of the term redbone, which actually means mixed breed. We are wanting to become as well informed as possible before making such a venture come true. If you are interested in joining this group, you're welcome to do so. Go to

If you're not a registered member of Yahoo!, you will have to do that to join the group. Please note that we are not out to disprove any particular heritage, but rather to learn the truth about our ancestral roots. Hope to see you there!!
