Hello Dennis, I think our LEEs were on opposite sides of the Mississippi River. Mine were mostly in East Feliciana Parish. The name you mention Elizabeth Signey Lee is unfamiliar to me. Now, if her name is really Elizabeth Sidney then there is a stronger possibility that she is part of the Samuel LEE and Lucady (nee' ? ) family. They probably arrived in East Feliciana around 1805 give or take a few years. Lucady LEE, dau. of Samuel and Lucady LEE, md. George Redden (Redding, etc.) and they named a daughter Sidney. As I recall his brother also named a daughter Sidney and that caused quite a bit of confusion for several years. It is possible that some of the LEEs named a child Sidney after Lucady and George's daughter, but I don't know. I had been told that one of their children was buried in the Stoney Point Cemeter, and that another of George Redden's wives was also buried there. I had a response on this query several years ago and was either sent the cemetery transcript or told where to go find it on the Net. I was able to print a copy. I am descended from Samuel and Lucady Lee's dau. Mary who md. William HATCHELL. There were at least two seperate LEE families in early East Feliciana. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
