A Henry Stevens or Stephens lived next to my ancestor Stephen Lynch in Rapides Parish on Bayou Boeuf in 1799. I think his wife was named Roxanna/Roxanne since a Roxanna Stephens served as god mother to a child of Stephen's baptised at the Mansura church. They had to travel to Mansura and Opelousas for Catholic rites. Hope this helps.
