need information as to location where grandparents first esatablished themselves upon entering this country in 1890. Worked on a plantation near Baton Rouge 'parish or county. A prison is supposed to have been built upon that location in later years. Who would I contact regarding birth records in the baton Rouge area? Grandfather's surname ceffalia or could have been written Schiffilea.
