Dear Carl:

I was very interested in your inquiry. My g-g-grandfather was Pierre Hargoua who married Alphonsine Saurage on June 13, 1872, presumably in Louisiana. I have not been able to verify her parents, but I believe they were Paul Saurage and Adeline Troxler. Pierre and Alphonsine lived in Biloxi, MS for awhile and that is where Alphonsine died. However, I know they were in Plaquemine, LA for awhile. One of their daughters, Ada Hargoua, my g-grandmother married Charles Jacob Valcourt Marionneaux in Plaquemine on February 24, 1892. Most of the rest of the rest of the family remained in and around Plaquemine. If any of this rings a bell, pleasse let me know. I have a lot of information on my family line, although not much on the Saurage family in particular.
