Dianne, I found a little information (which you may already have) but will pass it on... 1870 Census Grant Parish, LA Colfax Post Office, page 13, family 115/116 Brazille, Margaret, 40, AR -, Frank, 25, AR -, Mary Ann, 18, AR -, Adaline, 14, AR -, Baker, 15, AR -, Victoria, 12, AR ------------------------------------------------ 1880 Census Grant Parish, LA ED 26, pg 28D Brazeal, Frank, 35, married, born AR, father AR, mother born in AR -, Minerva, 30, wife, MS MS MS -, John, 6, son, LA AR MS -, Joseph, 4, son, LA AR MS -, Baker, 2, son, LA AR MS -, George, 5 months, born January 1880, LA AR MS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From this website on Union County, AR marriage records: http://www.rootsweb.com/~arunion/boman_cato.html BRAZZIL. Hiusley [sic], 23, to Margaret Scarborough, 18, both of Jackson Twp., Union County, on February 11, 1841 by E. F. Tatum, JP. (DB A-141) ------------------------------------------------- I would guess that the 1870 census shows your Frank with his mother and siblings. I see a Hensley Brazzell on the 1860 Claiborne Parish census, but it doesn't look like any of the 1870 children are shown on it. There are several Dawsons in his household though. I didn't find him on the 1850 census. Hope this helps, Scott Notify Administrator about this message?
