Fascinating! That could be my grandfather. His elder son was Allen Moran and the younger was my father, Louis Joseph Moran Jr born Jan 11, 1922. I know the name was Moran by then, as I have his birth certificate. There's always been a family story of a name change, which would explain why I haven't found earlier traces. Thank you so much!
