Thank you very much for all of your help. The information provided provides information on my grandfather and grandmother and includes my mother.
I am looking for more information and if could point me in the right direction that would be great. I am trying to locate my grandfathers parents and siblings. He was born in Lousiana and suppossedly had several siblings. His fathers name was Frank Young as well as his brother's name was Frank. I was told that his mothers name was possibly Luncinda Gates but his parents remained in Lousiana and that he and his brother migragted to Texas.
I would I track records that would give me additional information in the event that they were slaves at the time or possibl were they were located.
