Lynn: Since you seem unsure of most of the death dates, I assume you haven't searched out obituaries which, as you probably know, can be a rich source of genealogical data. Fortunately, New Orleans Public Library has an online Biographical/Obituary database. I did a very brief search and found some folks who might be relevant to your search: Mrs. Jean DUC died at 83, obit in "Times-Picayune" 10 Oct 1926, pg. 2, col. 5 Jean DUC, died 30 Dec. 1878, "Daily Picayune" 5 Jan. 1879, pg. 10, col. 5 and 31 Dec. 1878, pg. 4, col. 4 John C. Cuvillier, d. 28 July 1971, there are four obit citations for him Constant Cauwenberg AUCOIN, 27 July 1948. Husband Albert AUCOIN, obit "Times-Picayune" 28 July 1948, pg. 2, col. 6 CAUVENBERG (CAUWENBERG), Constant, died age 72, obit 30 April 1883, appeared in "Bee (K'Abeille)", 1 May 1883, pg. 1, col. 6 CAUWENBERG, Mrs. C. died 30 October 1888, 66 years, obit in "Daily Picayune" 31 October 1888, pg. 4, col. 5 These are just some, you might want to check this database out if you haven't yet done so: http://neworleanspubliclibrary.org/obits/obits.htm Copies of the actual obits may be obtained from the library for a very modest sum, I think $2-$3. I also found John DUC in the "General Index of All Successions 1846-1880", case or file #41365. Something in this might help you....Rick Notify Administrator about this message?
