Hi,

I can only provide some clues from the census that may help. In the 1870 census there is a Wesley Shaw (22yo) and 2 minor children in Ouachita Parish. He was born in VA.

In the 1910 census of Morehouse there is a family of Wesley and Ella Shaw in ward 6. The record is hard to read, and I can only glean a few snippets of info. It appears that Wesley and Ella were married around 1900. In 1910 they had had 6 children, 5 living. Except for Wesley's mother being born in Alabama, they and their parents were born in LA. I can't really make out the names of the children. There are also 3 people, 1 adult and 2 children, with the last name Evans living in this household.

Also the 1920 census shows a Wesley and Ella Shaw and family living in Drew Co. AR. The children's names are Wesley Jr., Presley, Willie N., Lillie M., A.T., Melvalee T., Herman, Eddie, and Abner.

Hope this helps, Dale
