Hi,

The probate records are indexed. They are not available over the internet, however, and I have never seen an abstracted list. Probate records from that time period are few and far between due to fire damage. You may luck out though. It might be worth a call to the courthouse to see if the record exists in the index. Otherwise you could get someone to do a quick lookup for you. It only takes a minute or two to take the book down and look. If you get someone who's willing to do the lookup, it will help if you ask them to look also in the conveyance records located on the back wall where all the older conveyance books are stored.

Good luck, Dale
