I am looking for the parents of Adam J. Finch. Adam was born ca. 1815 in Georgia or South Carolina. On June 2, 1828, Adam and Sidney Finch were orphans in Clarke County, AL. Ruby Finch Thompson believed that Adam was the son of Brothers Finch and Margaret, but I have found no proof of this assumption.

On September 17, 1840, Adam J. Finch and Amanda Parkman were married in Clarke Co., AL. Amanda, daughter of Wiley Parkman, was born ca. 1825 in Edgefield County, South Carolina. Amanda died before 1870 in Louisiana.

In 1850, Adam and Amanda were living in Sumter County, AL. They were living in Morehouse Parish, LA by 1860. The children of Adam and Amanda were Emily "Emma", Georgianna, William Parkman, Jennie and Frances.

In 1870, Adam was living in Marion, Union Parish, LA. In 1880, Adam was living in Morehouse Parish, LA with his daughter Emily.
Emily Finch was the widow of Levi Jefferson Cole.

On October 6, 1843, Emily was born in Alabama. Emily Finch and Levi Jefferson Cole were married ca. 1859 in Morehouse Parish, LA. On May 22, 1920, Emily died in Marion, Union Parish, LA. She was buried at Harper Springs Cemetery in Huttig, Union County, Arkansas.
