Pauline, my wife and I moved to Franklin County, Texas, in 1976. We are nearly 100 miles west of Texarkana and 100 miles east of Dallas, where we grew up.
I have a letter my grandfather (Edgar Clifford) wrote to another family member when his father Joseph Sterling died. In it he mentions Innis as where he had to go to take care of things. I assumed he might be buried there. Josephs father, James, is supposed to be buried in Natchez, Mississippi, but we have been unable to find the grave. James and Joseph both were born in Natchez and you know how close it is to Innis.
We went through Shreveport, Old Saline and into Alexandria last November doing family research on both sides of my family. We'll go back this summer. I am looking at Marks, Sterling, McMillan, Megison, and Cheatwood. If I can help with your tree, please ask.
