Hi--

Got any access to Tax Records 1880-1886 of Red River and Bowie Co., Texas??? Looking for Jasper Freeman CHEEK/CHEAK/CHUK, etc. He is living at Dalby Springs in Bowie Co. on 1880 Census--- got in a gun dual--- won and split by 1884 to Louisiana where he changed his name ;-)

Anyway, the e-mail I sent you bounced back. I will check with my Cousin on Sterling buried at St. Stephen's in Innis for you but later today. She goes to church at St. Stephen's and is likely there right now..... ;-)

I would highly recommend you check the PCP deed records in detail--- pull all of them on Sterling at the PCP Courthouse as one deed may mention "set off as family cemetery" which was very common in those days!

There will be estate records on your Joseph at the Courthouse too--- plan a full day at the Courthouse and let me know when you head there!

Pauline
