Looking for info on AMELIA SMITH and her family who were listed in the 1850 Pt. Coupee parish Census:

Pointe Coupee Parish LA 1850 census, page 37:

Amelia Smith 46 Planter, $4000, b. GA
Andrew Smith 20 Overseer, b. MS
Alexander Smith 16 (14?) none b. MS
Lafayette Smith 11 none b. MS
Dennis Smith 22 Labor, b. MS

Based on Dennis Smith age 22 being listed last, I believe that the was the step son of Amelia and her dec'd husband.

I believe Dennis ag 22 could have been my gg gf who md. Elizabeth Maxwell in Avoyelles Parish on Nov 8, 1959.

My question is: Who was Amelia's dec'd husband???
