Hi Nancy,
As far as I know, the name really was "Gulley"....according to my husband, and his father. Its weird, because I can't find that name anywhere else in his line...Emma Gulley Edwards' mother's maiden name was Reppond..
So, as much as I don't think it was changed from Gullett...who knows!I will keep it in mind!
