I would like to contact a descendent of (or anyone with information on) Cornelia Ward, who married J. F. Tanner. In 1923 Cornelia was divorced and living in Junction City, Union Parish, Louisiana. It’s possible that she may have remarried. According to the 1900 Union Parish, Louisiana census, Cornelia Ward was born in April 1887 and was the daughter of Nevin C. and Mary Ward. Cornelia had two brothers, Edgar B. Ward and C. Alfred Ward, and one sister, Auby Ward, who married W. V. Brown. The 1923 Probate records of Nevin C. Ward shows the following: Cornelia Ward Tanner living in Junction City, Louisiana, Auby Ward Brown living in Junction City, Arkansas, Edgar B. Ward living in Dallas, Texas, and C. Alfred Ward living in Seattle, Washington. Nevin C. Ward was the son of Henry H. Ward and Jane C. (Mickle) Ward who lived in NE Claiborne Parish, LA near the Bethel Baptist Church. Henry died July 28, 1885 and Jane C. Ward died after the 1910 census. Henry and Jane Ward were my great, great grandparents. wward
