Joseph Alvin McCormick (1865-1910) md. Susanna West (1874-1912). Joseph probably born Union Par. and believe Susanna born Strong, Ark. Their children were Alvin Franklin McCormick, Helen Ruth McCormick, and Lula McCormick, and 6 others who died in childhood. Apparently lived in "Laran", "Cherry Ridge", and Oakland, La. areas. Both buried Laran Cem.Union Par., La. Joseph was son of A. (Alvin)W.McCormick (1815-1883) who md.Elizabeth Ellen Guice,and her sister, Joyce Emily Guice, and Miranda C. McCree. Some of Alvin W.'s children: Joyce Emily (1843-1899) md. John Manning; J. B. (1848-1928); Martha (b. 1856) md. Jones; Sara Lula (b. 1862) md. L. L. Cranford; Emily Frances (1869-1943) md. William M. Green moved to Hamlin Tx.; Pleasant M. md. Florence M. Arrant. Alvin W.("A, W. ")McCormick's father was Samuel McCormick. Believe A. W. was born in Miss. or Ala. and lived in Ala. for awhile but spent much of life of in Union Par. where believe most if not all kids born. Susanna West's father was Benjamin Franklin West (1849-1922) and her mother was Emma Hollis. Looking for connections,confirmations and corrections.
