Hi Gwen,
Clarenda Slawson was the daughter of Eleazor Slawson (Azor) and Mary Ward. I have extensive information on the ancestry of Mary Ward (1827-c1865), if you are interested.
After Mary's death about 1865, Azor remarried and had two sons before his second wife also died. He was still in Union Parish in the winter of 1868 - 1869, but by 1870 he had moved to Robertson County Texas.
