Am searching for a will or family bible,or land deed that perhaps Frances and her husband, William Breed may have had for proof of parentage of their son and my 4th greatgrandfather, WILLIAM AVERY BREED who lived in Union Parish, LA with his first wife Elizabeth Pope Norman before his migration to TX.
William and Frances moved from GA to AL where they purchased land in 1837 but he died in 1837 so more than likely there was time for a will. Frances stayed in AL until her death. According to her obit she was living at the home of her son-in-law, J. Faulkner, in Lafayette, AL. She died on September 30, 1854.
