I am searching for more information about Zachariah Ethridge who is listed as 7 years old on the 1870 Union Parish, LA census and also on the 1880 Union Par. census, aged 16, the son of John Green Ethridge and Nancy Castleberry. I know most of this family moved to Hot Springs, Garland Co., AR by 1883, but I have seen nothing more of Zachariah. I have been unable to find a death or marriage for him; in fact, I've not been able to find him again on censuses in either LA or AR.
This family was living next door to John W. Halley and my great grandmother, Martha Melissa Halley in Union Parish. Two residences down was John T. Ethridge and his family (son of John Green and brother of Zachariah). I have been told that my father was related to Nancy Belle Ethridge who married Newton Goss; and also my father used to go visit relatives in both LA and AR. My mother once went to meet him in Brinkley, AR, but she doesn't remember any of the names.
Any help would be appreciated.
