Georgia Ann Williams (21 Apr 1837 - 7 May 1860) was the daughter of John Williams and Rosetta ? She married James Wyatt Auld (c1836 – after 1880) on 1 January 1857 in Union Parish Louisiana.
According to the 1860 census enumerator, Georgia Ann Auld died of a cold that lingered for two weeks. Her obituary was published in the “New Orleans Christian Advocate” issue of 18 July 1860:
"Georgianna Aulds, wife of J. W. Aulds and dau of John and Roesetta Williams, was born in Thomas County, Ga., 21 Apr 1837: embraced religion when about 10 years of age in Barbour County, Ala. She moved to this state with her parents: married Jan 1 1857; died at her home in Union Parish, La., May 7 1860, leaving two little children to the care of others."
Known children of James Wyatt Auld and Georgia Ann Williams:
1) Ann Elizabeth Auld (c1857 – after 1860) died as a young child.
2) George Randall Auld (1859 – after 1892) was still single in 1880, when he lived with his widowed grandmother Rosetta Williams and widowed aunt, Margaret Williams Turbeville. Auld purchased 120 acres of government land in Union Parish located about one mile north of Bayou Choudrant in southeastern Union Parish Louisiana in 1892. I have no further record of him.
I would appreciate additional information on Georgia Ann Williams Auld's family.
