Hello,
Until today, I have had not the slightest indication that I might be descended from the
much-talked-about Benjamin Bush Vines. But some information I've pieced together
begins to point in that direction, and I need some help to figure out the connections.

I found these Vines families on the 1860 UNION PARISH, LA census.

Furthermore, I found what I believe to be the same family on the 1850 Union Parish, LA census (some ages and places of birth are obviously incorrect on one of the two census records -- or on both!)

Does anyone know where Nealy & Butler settled, or when they left SC? Could they have been in Union Parish, LA ca. 1850-1860? I also have notes that a Butler Vines purchased land in Bradley County, Arkansas ca. July 1861.
I think that Washington Vines, whose father is listed as Nealy/Neely/Nelia/Nila Vines, is my gg-grandfather. What I need to know is if this Nealy/Neely/Nelia/Nila Vines is actually "James Nelia Vines," the brother of Butler Vines, and if they were sons of David Jackson Vines.
Here is the information I have on "my" Washington Vines:

This family and their descendents probably lived in Bradley County, AR (Hermitage, Gravel Ridge, Moro Bay) between 1861-early 1900's. Any help with this line would be much appreciated.
