Louis Rock (Roque) and Marguerite Paquin are on record in the Indian section of the Rose Hawley Museum in Ludington Michigan. Their oldest child Harriet (b. 1833/4 New France (St Elizabeth Quebec) is the one your looking for. Her married name was Mrs Antoine Yack. You are looking for the Yax family of Michigan dating back to the early days of Detroit. The original Yax ( a German) was taken hostage by Indians and ransomed in the Detroit area where he stayed. THe Yax descendents are intermarried quite heavily into the French families of the Detroit River. Yes there are Labadies married to them. I believe there is a forum for them as well. If you want the Rock ancestry there is a web site for them. The webmaster is Louis Larocque, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. There is also a Pquin forum available. I am on another computer at this time so cannot be more specific.

Gerry
