Francis LaBarre (1821-1871) is the subject of my article, "Francis LaBarre, Confederate Artisan," in the Fall 2005 issue (Vol. 57, No. 3) of "Military Collector & Historian," Journal of the Company of Military Historians, pp. 124-125. It notes his wife, per the 1860C of DC, as Mary, 30, b.NY. I have since noted his marriage to Mary A. Burkardt[sic], 20 Aug 1853, in "District of Columbia Original Marriage Licenses, 1837-1862" by Wesley E. Pippenger, on-line at http://users.erol.com/pipp/dcmaradd.html
