Charles M. Lacewell was a son of William L. Lacewell, who with his wife, Agnes, made their home in 1860 in Jefferson Township of Wayne County, Mo., near that of Tennessee born Miles Lacewell, probably a brother. By 1870, William and Agnes were in adjoining Stoddard County, in Duck Creek Township. Among Charles Lacewell's children were the twins, Ralph and Dolph. Ralph died in Florida in 1992, Dolph in Missouri in 1989. Both were born 9 Oct 1906. The Charles Lacewell family lived at various times in Butler and Stoddard counties. Among Charles' brothers was Perry Lacewell, who also lived in these two Missouri counties. It appears Ralph was in South Carolina by 1930, so he may not have lived in the Stoddard/Butler area for long, since he died in Florida. The families lived in Obion and Weakley counties in Tennessee before coming to Missouri. Hope this is helpful. Cletis in Stoddard County.
