Hi Lorraine,
There was a census taken in 1825 in Rigaud that says:
Rene Lacombe's Family with a wife and 7 children, that is all, no mention of names except the father's name. Because there were a census in 1825 and in 1851. After that it was at each ten years. Rene died in 1840.

As for Father Albert Lacombe, his ancestor is Pierre Balan dit Lacombe. Father Lacombe is the nephew of my Great GrandFather Narcisse Lacombe.
