I am just getting started on this project. I am told the family came from Canada. My great grandfather was Jubertie Joseph LaCombe married to Idea Quebodeaux. His parents were David LaCombe and Cecilia Trahan. It seems his father was also named David LaCombe and mother Ameline Richard. I believe three brothers originally came from Canada to Louisiana. One setteled in the Opelasus area, one in the Lake Arthur area and one in Acadia Parish, this last one is my ancestor. thanks, Ken LaCombe
