I thought I should further mention that I noticed that some of the children of Jean Quenneville m. 1674 Montreal to Marie Deniau married with families from the Cantillac, Dordogne area of France so I think there must me some connection. I noticed this on the FrancoGene website. The website Belain also mentions the surname Deniau but it is spelled Dyel.
