I am finding confusing information for the wife of Adolphe Grandmaison (that got married at Trois Riviers on Nov. 25, 1850. Adolphe and his wife are the parents of John-aka-Jhonné(Jean) Grandmaison married to Marie Pellerin on 18 May 1891 in Trois Rivičres Cathedral, QC
Below John's mother's name is Angele Lacourse with her father as Pierre Balan/Lacombe and mother Marie Charlotte Corbin.
12. ADOLPHE GRANDMAISON He was the son of 24. JEAN GRANDMAISON and 25. MARIE-SOPHIE MOREAU-CELESSAIRE. He married 13. ANGELE LACOURSE November 25, 1850 in TROIS RIVIERES,QUEBEC,CANADA.
13. ANGELE LACOURSE She was the daughter of 26. PIERRE BALAN dit LACOMBE and 27. MARIE-CHARLOTTE CORBIN.
Did #26 & 27 have a daughter named Angele and when was she born.
In the 1852 Census I found;
9 Grandmaison, Adolphe St-Anne Lapr. 26 M
10 Lacourse, Angele Trois Rivieres 25
I do not have access to the census file. In this census is Angele the wife of Adolphe?
Other places they put her as the daughter of Pierre Lacourse and Marie Champagne. Did this couple have a daughter named Angele and when was she born?
I would hate to follow the wrong line.
I hope someone can solve this problem. Perhaps she was Angele Balan/Lacombe and married someone with the surname of Lacourse before she married Grandmaison.
Help please, Janet
