After consulting my records, I wish to further clarify my findings. By comparing the wife's name, etc., it seems that Nicolas II was called Nicolas in some records, and Colin in others. I don't know if it was a nickname or a misunderstanding by the recorder of the record. I also believe that Alphonse's father was indeed baptized as Cyprien (II), either as a mistake by the priest, or that was indeed his given name, but in all subsequent records that I found, he was called Colin also.
