Laden…From Ireland to Iowa

I'm looking for information about the Laden family that settled in Iowa in the mid-1800's. Here's what I know:

The 1860 census shows John and Mary Laden (I believe her maiden name was Mary Kelly) living in Union Township, Johnson County, Iowa. Both were listed as being born in Ireland around 1820. The census also shows two children: James Laden, age 3 and Mary Laden, age 1.

The 1870 census shows that John and Mary lived in Hardin Township, Johnson County, Iowa. In addition to their children James and Mary, they had two new children, Andrew (my great grandfather), age 10 and John, age 6.

The 1880 census shows the family still in Hardin Township, but the name was spelled Leydon.

The 1880 census also shows a James Laden living in Clinton County, Iowa. He was about the same age as John Sr. and hailed from Ireland. The Iowa Genealogical Society folks speculate he may have been related to the elder John Laden.

John Laden Sr. died in 1892. Mary Laden died in 1891. They are buried in St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City.

Any information anyone might have regarding these folks would be greatly appreciated.
