Hey Guys, I just returned from my nephews wedding in Lowell, so I got to spend a few hours in the Lowell Library looking at obituaries in old L'Etoile newspapers. Here's what I have found:
In Hildege Hervieux's obituary, "he is survived by 2 sisters, Mme Louis Perrault, and Mme Auger from Canada, and 2 brothers Joseph from Pawtucket, RI and Alfred from Lowell, and his father Francis X Hervieux from Canada"
In Eugenie Laferriere's obituary, "she is survived by 4 brothers Norbert & Theophile from Lowell, Joseph and Noe from Canada, and 2 sisters Mme Eliza Prudhomme (must be Mary E Laferriere) from British Columbia and Mlle Aurelia Laferriere from Montreal.
In addition, I have a death certificate for Alfred Hervieux Sr also a barber (b. app 1882 in Cahoes NY, d. 12/18/1961) from 39 Farmland Rd, Lowell. His entire family is all over the UMass Lowell website and is also listed in the 1920 and 1930 census. His father is listed as Joseph Hervieux and his mother as Marie Robitaille. I suspect this Joseph Hervieux is probably Hildege's brother Joseph, but I can't seem to prove it yet.
Also, along the Laferriere line, I have found some references to Ambroise Jubinville and Therese St Jean Laperche having a daughter Julie, a son Theophile, and also a daughter Victoria. Victoria Jubinville married Narcisse Clermont. I suspect their Julie is our Julie but am still investigating.
I would appreciate any help that anyone could give in finding out more about Hildege's brothers and sisters (I don't know the sisters first names), if Hildege's brother Joseph is really Alfred Hervieux Sr's father, and whether Julie Jubinville, spouse of Norbert Laferriere is the sister of Victoria Jubinville and daughter of Ambroise Jubinville.
Thanks so much for all your help
