Hi Alison,
In tracking down my father's father, Normand Laferriere, I found he had a brother, Lionel Laferriere. There was another brother Lucien. They were all born in Eagle Lake, Maine, and graduated from high school in Fort Kent, Maine. Their parents were Leon Laferriere and Eva Paradis.
Lionel is in the Social Security Death index--
Lionel Joseph died 17 Oct 2003 in Lewiston, Androscoggin, ME. I actually found his obituary in the Lewiston Sun Journal. You can register online for free and search for it in the archives. The obit lists a Lana Robichaud. He had 1 son and 4 daughters.
It sounds like that is the right Lionel... if so we are cousins or something. My father knows next to nothing about his father, Normand Laferriere, so if you have any family information to pass on, or would like to get in touch, I would really appreciate it.
