My grand parents were Emma Tessier and Paul Laferrière married at St-Félix de Valois, QC. They had 12 children at St-Cléophas de Brandon, QC. My father is Joseph-Olivier Laferriere. He was the youngest brother of Bertha (married to Arthur Forcier) and Marie-Anna (called Maria)(married to Josaphat Coutu). Bertha lived in Mass USA for all is aduld life. Maria once married moved in BC, Canada where she lived all her live.The other children are Carmelia, Emilien, Paul-Clément, Félix, Albert, Marie-rose, Marie-Émilienne, Marie-Agathe and Joseph-Félix.
My father did a lot of work to explore our genealogy. Our first ancesters in Canada was René Houré dit Laferrière and Urbain Tessier dit Lavigne both from France.
