Y-DNA testing

I had my brother's Y DNA tested. Has any other LaFerriere done this? I used the National Geographic website: https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com
I also had my husbands done and to my surprise my brother and my husband both have a common ancestor from the 1500's. A Jesuit Priest....who was in Switzerland/Northern Italy. Since I dont have any information from before 1640 on my LaFerriere line this could be a possible place of the families origin. If we were talking about the year 1000. then I could see where they might be related. My husbands line is supposed to be from Ireland.. Anyways I am curious as to anyone elses results? Care to share.
