Looking for Lagores
Okay, here's the thing- I want to maybe research my dad's family tree and put something together for him for Christmas. My Aunt Donna Lagore died the summer of '07 and that only leaves my father, Robert E. Lagore, his sister Sue Lagore, and Pat Lagore (married and became Pat Smith). I know that Grandpa Clarence Lagore had several siblings, but only two of which I know of, Norma Jean Lagore, and Jack Lagore. As for Grandpa Lagore's parents or other siblings- I have no clue. The family rumor is that Grandpa Lagore's parents were very abusive towards him and when the Circleville Courthouse burned down Grandpa, at the time 15, got a bum to lie to someone about being his father and his age and joined the service and went to war in WWII. He was a cook stationed in Ft. Bragg, and eventually when he got out he came back to Ohio and married Rosemary Kerns and had my father and his sisters. I am trying to find out if there's a lot of living Lagore's in Ohio that may be related to my family and find out if there is any truth to some of the family rumors about Grandpa being married to a french nurse during the war and having a child with her. So if any of these names sound familiar to anyone, let me know :)
