My grandfather, Edward Andrew Lahey, lived for a time in Champaign, Ill, then moved to Watseka. His family moved there from theKansas/Oklahoma area . It is reported that my g-g-gf was a soldier who participated in the oklahoma land rush, then moved his cabin by conestoga wagon to his homestead in Ponca city Ok. His father was a Thomas Edward Lahey who ran for US senator in Dodge City Kansas, in the 1870 era( I am unsure of the date)..
