John Lahey Kilkenny m. Alice Butler

My Great Great Grandfather John Lahey born around 1820, married Alice Butler in Kilkenny. Both were born in Kilkenny. They immigrated to the U.S. on or about 1948 with Alice's brother John Butler, and John Lahey's brother Thomas (Tommie) Lahey. John Butler had entered a seminary in Ireland to become a priest, but left with his sister Alice and husband John Lahey before that happened. They landed in New York City and travelled to Warren County, Ohio, where they stayed for a few years. From there they went to DeWitt County, Illinois, and settled on a farm near Waynesville. In April 1886 they left for the Western Kansas plains. I am trying to find more information about them before they left Kilkenny (parents, etc.) Any information would be deeply appreciated!

Mary Margaret
