The family name is currently Lahy, but I found some evidence and stories state that this may have been changed from Lahey. My gg grandfather Patrick Lahey married Catherine Kehoe (daughter of Jacob) at St. Mary's RC church, Bradford, England 24 April 1869. His father is shown as John Lahey on the wedding certificate, but later census records show it changes to Lahy and so does Patrick's death cert.
Patrick & Catherine had six children - Mary elan, John, James William, Thomas (my g granddad), Arthur & Alice and these were all Lahy's. It is said that Patrick may have had two sisters, but this has not been confirmed. It is also said that the Lahy/Lahey family may have lived in the Tipperary or Cork areas of Southern Ireland prior to moving to England.
I would be more than happy to hear from anyone who may be connected to the family tree. I have been slowly gathering information over the years and I would be willing to receive or give any help even if there are no direct connections. Looking forward to any replies !!!
