Does anyone know someone who is willing to do some legwork regarding family research in Fort Kent, Aroostock, Maine. My paternal great-grandfather was born there Sept. 1853., married Ellen Coote, there 1881. She was an French Canadian immigrant. The problem is there was a fire at Fort Kent recorders office in late 1800's. So, many records were destroyed. If someone is willing to do verifiable legwork regarding William's parents and siblings, I am willing to pay and trade service look up as well.
